With over 24 years of experience with the Calgary and Airdrie, Alberta legal communities, Beecher Menzies brings with him a vast wealth of knowledge in the principles and practices of family law, drafting of wills, applying for probate, and resolving both simple and complex estate disputes.
Beecher’ Bachelor of Arts Degree was issued by Bishop’s University in Quebec before he obtained his Bachelor of Laws Degree at the University of Wales College of Cardiff.
Beecher Menzies was called to the Alberta bar in 1994. He practiced briefly in Ontario but returned to Alberta and has practiced full time in Calgary since 1996 and in Airdrie since 2010.
Appearances in the Provincial Court of Alberta, the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta, and the Court of Appeal of Alberta has given Beecher insight into how the proper use of Alternative Dispute Resolution methods reach timely and cost-effective solutions.
Court is not necessarily the best option for the often-complex matters that revolve around family law concerns & disputes. Beecher is up front and honest with his clients advising them directly on whether court is needed or should be avoided, regardless of whether the issues are property-related, parenting, or spousal support matters.
Beecher Menzies has represented families and individuals in Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Ontario, and Prince Edward Island.
With the somewhat recent advent of new technologies being used by the courts and family lawyers alike, Beecher can assist his clients regardless of where they are through video technology, telephone, and email.
Beecher likes to pride himself on working within smaller, boutique style law offices throughout his career.
